Only President Volodymyr Zelensky can negotiate peace on behalf of Ukraine, says French President Emmanuel Macron, warning against “peace that is capitulation.”
Such a peace would be bad news for everyone, including the United States, Macron said in an interview with the Financial Times .
“The only question now is whether President Putin is genuinely, permanently and seriously willing to conclude a ceasefire on this basis. After that, it is up to the Ukrainians to negotiate with Russia,” Macron said.
