Erdogan set to hold talks with Zalensky to review Türkiye-Ukraine relations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Ankara to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

His plane landed at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport on Monday evening, accompanied by a delegation, the TRT said.

The Turkish presidency confirmed that Erdogan will hold talks with Zelensky on Tuesday.

“The discussions will comprehensively review Türkiye-Ukraine strategic partnership relations, and steps to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries will be addressed,” Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications said in a statement.

The visit will include exchanges of views on the latest developments in Ukraine, as well as other regional and global issues, added the statement.

The U.S. and Russian delegations are set to meet on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia to discuss a possible solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, according to local media reports.

Earlier in the day, Zelensky said that Kiev would not participate in the upcoming U.S.-Russia talks.
