Lebanon’s civil defense has found 23 bodies in villages that have been attacked and occupied by Israeli forces, according to the state news agency NNA.
Israeli forces withdrew from villages in southern Lebanon on Tuesday in line with the ceasefire agreement signed in November.
Israel still has forces in several places on the Lebanese side of the border, which Lebanon calls a violation of the ceasefire.
Residents of several villages were allowed to return home on Tuesday, however, and many of them found their own homes in ruins.
