Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis has expressed satisfaction after meeting with the American President, Joe Biden, in which he was informed about US efforts to find a ceasefire in Gaza.
He said it was emphasized that Cyprus could strengthen its role in the Middle East, through the solution of the long standing Cyprus issue.
“It is recognized by the United States,” he said, “the regional footprint of Cyprus and is linked to the form and content of a possible solution of the Cyprus issue.”
Describing the discussion as excellent and effective, Christodoulidis added that soon positive developments are expected on the subject of the lifting of entry visas to the United States for Cypriot citizens and that, in the coming months, “even more” will be done in matters of defense and security.
According to CyBC, he also emphasized that the topic of American investments in Cyprus was also discussed.
