Approximately 75 percent of Greek Cypriots use online public services, according to a report by Politis newspaper, citing data from the European Statistics Unit “Eurostat.”

The report highlights a significant increase in the use of online public services in Cyprus.

In 2024, 75.14 percent of Greek Cypriots utilized these services, up from 66.12 percent in 2023.

This growth reflects the ongoing efforts to digitalize public services and make them more accessible to citizens.

The increase in online public service usage indicates a positive shift towards digital adoption in Cyprus. It aligns with the European Union’s broader objectives to enhance digital skills and improve the availability of e-government services across member states.

The Eurostat data suggests that the Republic of Cyprus is making strides in digital transformation, contributing to better public service delivery and increased convenience for its citizens.

This trend is expected to continue as more digital initiatives are introduced and embraced by the population.
