FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Local media report that Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar and President Nikos Christodoulides are scheduled to meet on April 2, following the Geneva conference.
Phileleftheros newspaper described the meeting as a pivotal moment to test Tatar’s intentions, particularly whether he will adhere to the agreements made during the Geneva discussions or revisit unresolved matters.
Colin Stewart, the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Cyprus, is expected to participate.
The agenda for the meeting, as well as Tatar’s approach to the Geneva framework, is seen as crucial for progress. The meeting is also regarded as significant for assessing the broader intentions of all involved parties.
