Passenger Traffic Rises in Cyprus Airports for March 2025

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus’s airports saw record-breaking passenger traffic during March 2025, welcoming 707,304 travelers—an impressive 5.91% increase compared to 2024.

The January-March period also marked the highest-ever figures, with a 6.79% rise in passenger numbers year-over-year.

According to the Ministry of Transport, Larnaca Airport experienced a 15.17% surge in passenger volume, bolstered by routes to Israel, Greece, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Armenia.

In contrast, Paphos Airport recorded an 11.45% decline, despite growth on routes to Germany, Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, and Ireland.

Aircraft traffic across Cyprus increased by 5.85%, with 5,921 flights during the month.

However, declines at Larnaca Airport were noted in routes to Germany, Austria, France, Lithuania, and Hungary, while Paphos experienced drops in connections to Greece, Italy, France, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
