Cyprus’s annual inflation dipped to 2.9% in January 2025, down from 3.1% in December 2024, as reported by Eurostat.
In contrast, eurozone inflation nudged up slightly to 2.5%.
This time last year, Cyprus’s inflation was at 2.1%, while the eurozone stood at 2.8%.
Denmark led with the lowest inflation rate at 1.4%, followed by Ireland, Italy, and Finland at 1.7%. Hungary recorded the highest at 5.7%.
Eight EU member states saw decreases in annual inflation, four remained stable, and fifteen experienced increases.
The biggest contributors to eurozone inflation were services, food, alcohol, tobacco, and energy.
