Cyprus ranks among the EU countries with the highest proportion of low-paid workers, according to 2022 data published by the European Statistics Unit (Eurostat).
The report highlights that 20% of workers in Cyprus earn less than two-thirds of the median hourly wage, placing it among the top six EU countries with the highest rates of low-wage earners.
Bulgaria leads the list with 26.8%, followed by Romania, Latvia, Greece, and Estonia.
The findings underscore the ongoing challenges faced by low-income workers in the region.
