101 kilograms of cocaine have been seized at Auckland Airport, making it the largest airport seizure in New Zealand’s history, Customs says.
Customs officers identified several bags that arrived at Auckland Airport on a Hawaiian Airlines flight on Saturday.
“Customs officers investigated and found 85 blocks of a substance wrapped in black foil and transparent plastic wrap. Preliminary tests showed positive results for cocaine,” a statement from the customs service said.
