FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A study by the Child Health Education Institute found that 16.9% of participants in Cyprus were classified as obese, Haravgi reported.
The study, which surveyed 1,864 people, showed obesity rates were higher in rural areas (20.5%) compared to urban regions (14.6%).
Additionally, one in three participants reported low physical activity, while tobacco use was prevalent among half of men and one in three women.
