FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the Greek Parliament on Wednesday to protest Israel’s latest military offensive in the Gaza Strip and the worsening humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing blockade.
Police estimated that more than 3,000 people took part in the protest, chanting anti-war slogans, waving Palestinian flags, and holding banners reading “Solidarity – Palestine Will Be Free” and “Wanted for Crimes Against Humanity,” referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The demonstration was organized by the Palestinian Community in Greece and supported by left-wing political parties and labor unions. Protesters called for “an immediate end to the bloodshed and the starving of children.”
