FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Larnaca District Local Government Organisation has assured no water supply disruptions are expected this summer, crediting targeted interventions and systematic monitoring of infrastructure for ensuring water adequacy.
Despite the optimistic outlook, officials recently urged residents to use water responsibly to sustain the current favorable conditions and prevent potential restrictions.
To address localized shortages, mobile desalination units will be deployed in certain areas across Cyprus this year.
Last month, director-general of the ministry of agriculture, Andreas Gregoriou, said dealing with drought was a “matter of the highest national priority.”
