FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Thousands of Turkish tourists visited Samos in Greece during the four-day Kurban Bayram holiday, boosting local tourism and putting pressure entry points.
More than 5,700 visitors arrived through the island’s main ports, with two cruise ships docking in Vathy and Pythagoreio.
Authorities have expanded border control facilities, adding a third express visa issuance station to reduce wait times. During the holiday, 600 visas were issued at entry points.
Cruise tourism has also increased, with the Blue Sapphire making regular stops in Pythagoreio on Tuesdays and Saturdays, bringing tourists to the Dodecanese.
