FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — The cruise ship Crown Iris is docked at Limassol Port as part of a large-scale Israeli repatriation operation dubbed “Safe Return.”
On Thursday morning, around 1,600 Israeli nationals began boarding the vessel, which is scheduled to depart for the port of Haifa later in the afternoon.
With a capacity of up to 2,000 passengers, Crown Iris is expected to complete at least one more round-trip between Haifa and Limassol within the week.
The operation forms part of wider efforts to return Israeli citizens amid regional instability and restricted access to airspace.
Cyprus, particularly Limassol, continues to serve as a critical departure and arrival hub in the evolving security landscape.
