The Central Bank of Cyprus has expressed satisfaction with the findings of the latest technical compliance reassessment report by Moneyval, the Council of Europe’s anti-money laundering body.
According to the bank, the progress and upgrades acknowledged in the report confirm Cyprus’s continued efforts to strengthen its legal and regulatory framework in combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
The Central Bank reaffirmed its commitment to reinforcing this framework, which it described as a key prerequisite for attracting quality investment and further bolstering financial stability.
