FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A total of 320 beach lockers will be installed at two popular beaches in the Paralimni-Deryneia municipality to improve safety and convenience for swimmers and visitors, officials said.
According to a municipal press release, the lockers will be placed at eight locations—six along Vrisi Beach and two at Fig Tree Bay—with 40 lockers at each site.
The installation follows a recent agreement signed between the municipality and LAG Trading Ltd. Mayor Giorgos Nikoletos and company representative Lambros Antoniou signed the contract, which grants permission for the placement of the lockers.
“This initiative is part of our broader strategy to upgrade beach infrastructure and offer modern, practical solutions that meet the needs of visitors,” Nikoletos said. “It also strengthens the municipality’s image as a high-quality tourist destination.”
The lockers are expected to enhance the overall beach experience by providing secure storage options for personal belongings.
