A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized Sunday after being attacked by a dog near the waterfalls in the village of Foini, authorities said.
The child was first taken to Limassol General Hospital and later transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where she is expected to undergo surgery. She sustained leg injuries but is in stable condition, according to officials.
The dog was taken by veterinary services for examination, and its owner was arrested.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
