A Larnaca criminal court on Tuesday sentenced a man and a woman to 11 years and two‑and‑a‑half years in prison, respectively, after finding them guilty of importing and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
The pair were arrested on June 7, 2025, at Larnaca airport after Drug Law Enforcement Unit officers, working with Customs, searched their luggage and found about 17.6 kilograms of cannabis.
The defendants are a 47‑year‑old woman and a 65‑year‑old man.
