Access to social media in Afghanistan has been limited since Tuesday, with services only intermittently available on smartphones, according to journalists in the country.
The restrictions follow a nationwide telecommunications shutdown last week, during which mobile and internet services were cut off for 48 hours without prior notice.
Authorities did not provide an official explanation for the blackout.
The move comes weeks after the Taliban government announced plans to reduce high-speed internet access in certain provinces, citing efforts to prevent “immorality.”
NetBlocks, a global internet monitoring group, has tracked the disruptions.
