Drivers in Cyprus must renew vehicle licenses for 2026 between Jan. 7 and March 11.
Licenses can be renewed for periods of three to 12 months.
After the deadline, owners face a surcharge of €10 plus 10% of the annual fee. Renewals require valid insurance and a roadworthiness certificate.
Officials urged motorists not to wait until the final days to avoid system overloads. Vehicles not renewed for 2025 and not declared immobilized will be struck from the registry unless fees are paid and licenses updated by March 11.
The department said no reminders will be sent and owners are responsible for keeping contact details current.
