Police arrested a 21‑year‑old man in Limassol after officers found 263 captagon tablets during a search of his apartment, authorities said Thursday.
Members of the OPE unit conducted the search as part of an ongoing investigation. The pills, weighing roughly 44 grams, were discovered under the suspect’s bed.
The man was arrested on the spot for a flagrant offense and taken to the offices of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN). Police said he made several claims during questioning, which are now being examined.
He has been placed in custody as YKAN continues its investigation.
