Man, 31, Arrested in Paphos After Motorcycle Theft and Assault

A 31‑year‑old man has been arrested in Paphos in connection with the theft of a motorcycle and an assault that caused actual bodily harm.

A 27‑year‑old man reported that his motorcycle was stolen while parked outside his apartment building. Around 6 p.m., he spotted the vehicle on Evagoras Pallikarides Street. When he attempted to secure it, he was attacked by two unknown men who struck him, knocked him to the ground and fled the scene with the stolen motorcycle.

The victim managed to stop one of the suspects nearby but was unable to recover the motorcycle. Police officers who arrived at the scene identified the man as a 31‑year‑old, who was taken to Paphos Central Police Station.

He was arrested under a court warrant on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery, theft, assault causing actual bodily harm and malicious damage. He remains in custody.

The victim was examined at Paphos General Hospital, where doctors found a scalp hematoma and abrasions.
