President Nikos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman will meet this morning.
The talks will take place at the residence of the head of the UN mission inside the organization’s protected area in Nicosia, hosted by the UN Secretary‑General’s Special Representative, Khassim Diagne.
No media access will be permitted, and both sides will release official photo and video material afterward.
The meeting comes as the UN continues efforts to revive stalled reunification talks.
Formal negotiations have been frozen since 2017, when discussions in Crans‑Montana collapsed without agreement on security arrangements and power‑sharing.
Since then, the two sides have held only limited contact, while the UN has repeatedly urged confidence‑building measures to ease tensions along the buffer zone.
