Authorities advised users not to share personal information on unfamiliar websites or with unknown individuals, and to ensure that sites they visit use encrypted connections beginning with “https://”.
The public was also warned not to open links or attachments from unknown senders and not to respond to suspicious emails or text messages requesting personal details or payments. Police further cautioned against trusting strangers who promote investment schemes online.
