A weak low‑pressure system is affecting the region, with light dust possible in the atmosphere over the weekend.

Skies will start out with areas of low cloud and patchy mist today, but conditions will gradually turn mostly clear with periods of increased cloudiness. An isolated shower may develop over the mountains after midday. Winds will begin light and variable at 3 Beaufort, becoming southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slight. Temperatures will reach around 25C inland, 21C on the west and north coasts, 23C on the remaining coasts and 18C in the higher mountains.

Tonight will remain mostly clear, though low cloud will form in places. Later, and toward dawn, patchy mist or fog may develop, mainly inland and in eastern areas. Winds will shift downslope, remaining light at 3 Beaufort, and seas will stay calm to slight. Temperatures will fall to around 11C inland, 13C on the coasts and 7C in the higher mountains.

On Friday, periods of increased cloud are expected, with isolated afternoon showers possible over the mountains. High cloud will increase gradually, followed later by mid‑level cloud.

Saturday will bring mainly mid‑ and high‑level cloud, with a chance of isolated showers, again mostly in the mountains.

On Sunday, locally increased cloud is expected to produce isolated showers or a thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains and possibly in northern and western areas.

Temperatures will rise gradually through Sunday, climbing slightly above seasonal averages.
