Germany will provide Syria with an additional 50 million euros in emergency aid via the UN World Food Program and non-governmental aid organizations.
The money is earmarked for food, accommodation and health, says German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
On Sunday, she was one of several European foreign ministers who attended a Syria conference in Saudi Arabia.
Here she also discussed the possibility of removing some of the sanctions against Syria, which were initially imposed against the now overthrown Assad regime.
