A plane has crashed shortly after taking off from the Unity oilfield in South Sudan, according to Radio Miraya, a radio station owned and operated by the United Nations office in the country.
22 people were on board the plane. 18 are confirmed dead and three are critically injured, writes the radio station on X.
The pilots of the plane are among the dead.
