President Donald Trump is expelling four American media outlets, including The New York Times, from their offices in the Pentagon.
In addition to The New York Times, Politico, National Public Radio and NBC News must also pack up and move out of the offices of the US Department of Defense.
The far more Trump-friendly media outlets Breitbart News, New York Post, One America News Network and HuffPost News will take over the offices.
“We are disappointed by the decision to deny us access to broadcast from the Pentagon, an access we have had for many decades,” NBC News said.
Over 20 media outlets, including Reuters, have permanent offices in the Pentagon.
The Pentagon Press Association, which represents the journalists who work in the building daily, is critical of the Trump administration’s decision.
‘We are deeply concerned about this completely unusual decision to expel highly professional media in such a way,’ it says in a statement.
