The administration of outgoing US President Joe Biden plans to remove Cuba from the list of states that support terrorism, the AP news agency reports, citing anonymous official sources.
The list maintained by the US State Department currently includes four countries: Cuba, Iran, Syria and North Korea.
These countries cannot receive military aid from the United States and are also subject to several economic sanctions.
