Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Nikolay Zhumakanov, presented his credentials to President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia.
Christodoulides warmly welcomed Zhumakanov and conveyed best wishes to President Tokayev, emphasizing the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
Christodoulides highlighted the recent decision to open embassies in both capitals, a move expected to strengthen diplomatic ties, enhance political dialogue, and boost economic cooperation. Discussions also covered trade, transport, digitalization, and tourism, with the President reaffirming Cyprus’ commitment to active collaboration with Kazakhstan.
Zhumakanov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confidence in further strengthening the friendly relations between Cyprus and Kazakhstan. He promised to promote mutually beneficial initiatives and attract investments.
