The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution demanding that Russia immediately withdraw its forces from Ukraine.
The resolution, which is not legally binding, was passed on the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The General Assembly rejected a US resolution that did not specifically mention Ukrainian sovereignty or territorial integrity.
Instead, the adopted proposal was put forward by Ukraine and the EU. Both Russia and the US voted against it.
The final vote saw 93 countries in favor, 65 countries abstaining, and 18 countries voting against the resolution.
