Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious road collision that occurred yesterday morning in Nicosia.
A 59-year-old man, who was riding a motorcycle, was critically injured in the incident and is currently hospitalized in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital.
The collision took place around 8:00 a.m. on Friday at the roundabout of Spyros Kyprianou and Kalamon avenues, and the highway in Strovolos.
The 59-year-old motorcyclist collided with a car driven by a 61-year-old man under circumstances that are still being investigated.
Police officers rushed to the scene to conduct examinations, while the injured motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital.
He is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.
The Nicosia Traffic Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances of the collision.
