FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The transport ministry reminded citizens that the deadline to renew road tax for 2025 is Tuesday, March 11, at midnight.
As of March 6, 627,024 vehicles had their permits renewed, according to the road transport department (Tom).
Registration permits can be renewed for three, six, nine, or twelve months. Any permits applied for after Tuesday will incur a €10 fine, plus an additional 10% of the amount due for the current year.
Vehicle owners who renewed their road tax for 2024 but do not plan to renew for 2025 must submit a notice of immobilisation to the road transport department, which can also be done online on the department’s website.
Vehicles that have no road tax for 2024 and are not declared as immobilised will be removed from the Tom register if the amount due for 2024 and 2025 is not paid.
