FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has confirmed talks with the United States regarding the decommissioned Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea, German broadcaster ZDF reported Wednesday.
Lavrov stressed that “normal energy supplies for Europe” serve the interests of both nations, according to Russian state television.
Lavrov added that it would be notable to observe whether the United States might use its influence to push Europe toward ending its boycott of Russian gas.
The remarks, reported by state news agency Tass, come as geopolitical tensions and energy security debates continue to dominate discourse in the region.
