FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Iran and Armenia completed a two-day military exercise along their shared border aimed at bolstering security and fostering sustainable peace, according to the IRNA and the Armenian Defense Ministry.
The drill involved operational units from Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and the Armenian army, utilizing light and heavy weaponry, special forces snipers, and explosives.
It also included simulations to neutralize attacks by terrorist groups targeting border checkpoints, the Armenian Defense Ministry stated.
The exercise underscores the commitment of both nations to enhancing border security and regional stability.
