FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Wall Street closed higher Friday as the S&P 500 rose 1.81%, the technology-heavy Nasdaq gained 2.06%, and the Dow Jones industrial average climbed 1.56%.
The gains followed White House announcements of progress in talks with other countries regarding tariffs.
Despite the uptick, the major indexes remain unable to fully recover from losses incurred during recent market turmoil after the U.S. revealed its new tariff measures.
