In a remarkable boost to Cyprus’ cultural heritage, renowned archaeologist Dr. David Soren (University of Arizona) has donated his extensive archive from the Kourion excavations of the 1970s and 80s to the Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
The archive, which includes personal notes, articles, correspondence, field and notebooks, over 9,000 negatives and slides, 400+ drawings, and various audiovisual materials, was received during a symbolic hybrid ceremony at the Cyprus Museum on February 11, 2025.
