FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Between January 1 and March 28, 2025, the Asylum Service of the Deputy Ministry of Immigration and International Protection in Cyprus received 767 asylum applications.
During the same period, 3,660 individuals of various nationalities departed the country through deportations and voluntary or involuntary returns.
Breaking down the asylum applications, 256 were filed in January, 232 in February, and 279 in March so far.
The departures are being conducted in collaboration with the Police’s Aliens and Immigration Service and the Deputy Ministry of Immigration and International Protection.
