At least ten people have died in landslides triggered by heavy rain in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, according to local authorities.
Nine people died in the city of Ipatinga, where 80 millimeters of rain fell in just one hour on Saturday night, according to the mayor’s office. In addition, one person is missing and several homes and buildings were destroyed by landslides.
