The 23rd Cyprus Film Days International Festival, running from April 4-12, 2025, will emphasize educational efforts through a rich program of parallel events.

Highlights include a VR filming masterclass at CYENS by award-winning filmmaker Deniz Tortum, a practical workshop on hidden Cypriot myths, and a casting workshop with top professionals. All events are free, with applications due by March 15.

The festival aims to augment participants’ experiences and foster interaction between artists, professionals, and the public.

Deniz Tortum’s masterclass will cover the history and current practices of VR filming and feature a screening of his film “Shadowtime”.

The two-day “Invisible Myths” workshop, led by Oliwia Tado and Mariangela Ciccarello, will guide young creatives in producing short films inspired by Cypriot myths.

A special casting workshop, hosted by casting directors Francesco Vedovati and Makis Gazis, will offer insights into international production casting.

Additionally, the festival will host Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days, providing masterclasses and discussions for professionals from April 10-12.
