FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The heatwave gripping Cyprus will continue in the coming days, with the Meteorological Service renewing its orange-level warning for extreme temperatures.
An 88-year-old man was hospitalized at Nicosia General Hospital with heat exhaustion. His condition is stable and not considered life-threatening.
Several other individuals have sought emergency care with similar symptoms. Authorities are urging the public to avoid sun exposure between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and to keep living and working spaces cool.
Special caution is advised for vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. The Ministry of Health remains on alert to respond to any incidents.
