Larnaca Airport, the main airport in Cyprus, is set to undergo a significant expansion, increasing its capacity by 65 percent.
According to reports in the local media, the permit process for the construction work has been completed, and the project is expected to be finished within three years.
The report noted that once the upgrades are completed, Larnaca Airport will align with modern European standards, be environmentally friendly, and have the capability to serve over 12.4 million passengers annually.
Construction work is scheduled to begin next month, according to some press reports.
