According to Cyprus radio, fans engaged in stone-throwing, and threw firecrackers, Molotov cocktails, and flares.
The situation was defused after the intervention of the police, who used tear gas to confront the hooligans.
A female member of the Force was injured and taken to the emergency room with a bruise on her leg.
The circumstances of her injury are being investigated.
