FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Police in Cyprus seized more than 22 kilograms of cannabis and 32 cannabis plants in coordinated operations across Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca, authorities said Monday.
The raids, conducted over the weekend, led to the arrest of three individuals.
In Limassol, officers searched three courier service shops and discovered 13.6 kilograms of cannabis hidden in packages. A 23-year-old suspect was taken into custody.
In Larnaca, a 68-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman were arrested for allegedly cultivating cannabis illegally.
Police found 32 plants, 1.03 kilograms of processed cannabis, and 44 partially smoked joints containing the drug at their residence.
Separately, police in Nicosia confiscated a package containing approximately 8 kilograms of cannabis from another courier outlet. Investigations are ongoing, and all suspects are expected to appear in court.
