Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached €138,7 mn in November 2024, recording an increase of 22,0% as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€113,7 mn).
For the period of January-November 2024, revenue from tourism is estimated at €3.122,5 mn compared to €2.916,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 7,1%.

Expenditure Analysis
The average expenditure per person was €771,02 in November 2024 compared to €712,63 in November 2023, recording an increase of 8,2%.
Tourists from the United Kingdom (the largest tourist market with 25,9% of the total tourists in November 2024) spent on average €80,58 per day, while tourists from Poland (the second largest market during the specific month with 11,3% of the total tourists) spent on average €88,80. Tourists from Israel (the third largest market with 10,5%) spent on average €139,80 per day.

Methodological Information
Definitions
Tourists – Visitors who stay for at least one night in Cyprus.
Tourist arrivals – The term refers to the number of trips and not to the number of persons. This differs in the sense that one person can take more than one trips during the reference period.
Revenue from Tourism – It refers to the revenue from tourists during their visit in Cyprus.
