Cyprus is recording solid economic growth, a strong fiscal position and a resilient banking system, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos said.
Speaking on behalf of the president at the annual general meeting of the Association of Banks, Keravnos said Cyprus has entered a new period of stability, growth and economic resilience.
He noted that GDP grew by 3.8% in 2025 and that prospects for 2026 remain positive.
On the banking sector, he said it remains strong and well‑capitalized, with the common equity tier‑1 capital ratio at 25.1%, significantly above minimum European requirements.
