A cold air mass affecting Cyprus is gradually weakening, with mostly clear conditions expected over the coming days, according to the Meteorological Service.
Today will be mostly sunny, though periods of increased cloud cover may appear in some areas. Winds will blow mainly from the northwest to northeast at light to moderate strength, 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will reach 17°C inland, around 19°C along the coasts and 7°C in the highest mountains.
Tonight will remain mostly clear. Winds will stay light to locally moderate from the northwest to northeast, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will fall to 4°C inland, around 7°C on the coasts and –1°C in the higher mountains, where frost is expected.
On Tuesday, skies will be mostly clear with occasional cloud cover, mainly in the afternoon.
Wednesday is forecast to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of isolated showers.
Thursday will start mostly clear, but clouds are expected to develop later in the day, especially over the mountains.
Temperatures on Tuesday will rise slightly to above seasonal averages. No significant change is expected on Wednesday or Thursday.
