Tourism and exports will be central to Egypt’s economic recovery in the coming period, economist Sayed Khodr has said.

Khodr told local outlet Egyptic that both sectors are vital for bringing in foreign currency, strengthening reserves and stabilizing the exchange rate. He said government efforts to boost tourism and expand exports are part of a broader plan for sustainable growth insulated from global crises.

Improved performance in the two sectors would directly create jobs, raise national income and ease pressure from price fluctuations, Khodr said. He added that expansion would spur trade activity, attract investment and sustain growth over the medium and long term.

Balanced economic policies, including exchange‑rate management, market oversight and measures against inflation, have helped bolster investor confidence, Khodr said. He emphasized that the ultimate goal is for citizens to feel real improvement through stable prices, higher incomes and more opportunities.

Khodr said continued investment in productive sectors and stronger productivity will ensure long‑term sustainability and keep Egypt’s economy on a path of steady growth.
