The EU’s top military commander, Robert Brieger, believes it may be appropriate to station soldiers from EU countries in Greenland.
‘I think it makes good sense not only to station American forces in Greenland, but also to consider stationing EU soldiers in the future,’ he told the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag’.
He referred, among other things, to the strategic location of Greenland, which US President Donald Trump also used as a reason for wanting the United States to take over the island.
